Mid-Level QA Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Testing and defect analysis:
    • reviewing requirements and specifications to ensure testability, completeness, and clarity,
    • designing test cases to ensure adequate coverage of application functionality and business requirements,
    • performing various types of application testing, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing,
    • identifying, assessing, and escalating risks, dependencies, and blockers,
    • identifying and analysing defects, performing root cause analysis, and assessing system-wide impact,
    • managing defects through their lifecycle, including verification and retesting of fixes.
  • QA Standards & Continuous Improvement:
    • driving QA standards, best practices, and testing methodologies across projects,
    • contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and documentation,
    • supporting the adoption of efficient and automated testing approaches,
    • sharing knowledge and supporting the development of junior QA team members.
  • Test Planning & Collaboration:
    • participating in design and requirement reviews, providing quality-focused feedback throughout the development lifecycle,
    • preparing and communicating test progress, quality metrics, and risk assessments as a project team member, test coordinator, or test manager, depending on project needs,
    • collaborating with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle,
    • contributing to test planning, release readiness, and quality assurance activities,
    • identifying opportunities to improve product quality and reduce testing risks.

What tools are you going to use:

  • Test management tools – execution, and reporting,
  • Jira – defect tracking, workflow management, and project collaboration,
  • Confluence – documentation and knowledge sharing,
  • SQL, application logs, configuration tools – investigation, troubleshooting, and data analysis,
  • API testing tools – API validation, integration testing, and troubleshooting,
  • GIT / Bitbucket / Bamboo – version control and CI/CD processes,
  • Test automation frameworks and tools (depending on the project),
  • MS Office – communication, collaboration, reporting, and data analysis,
  • AI tools – productivity, knowledge discovery, and support for day-to-day QA activities.

Our requirements:

  • proven experience in software testing and quality assurance (mid-level),
  • strong knowledge of test design techniques and testing methodologies,
  • good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery methodologies, with experience contributing throughout the delivery lifecycle, from design to release,
  • experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. TestRail, Jira),
  • experience contributing to QA standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives,
  • ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of quality outcomes,
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and integrations,
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions,
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams,
  • fluency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

  • knowledge of QA best practices and test management approaches,
  • experience working with insurance or financial systems,
  • experience with SQL, data validation, and system integrations,
  • experience with API testing tools and service integration testing,
  • experience with test automation frameworks or supporting automation initiatives,
  • knowledge of AI-assisted testing approaches, tools, and productivity solutions,
  • ability to balance quality, delivery timelines, and business priorities,
  • strong sense of ownership and a product-oriented mindset,
  • mentoring, coaching, or informal leadership experience.
